Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Information entered in a search tool, such as a name or date of birth, is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Cullman County Warrant Records does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When a visitor sends an email, the message is retained as needed to prepare a response. It is kept within the operating team and is not disclosed outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical information may be recorded when a page loads:
- The device's Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- The date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. They help show how the website is used, including which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers may combine this activity into aggregate reports. A browser can reject cookies, although disabling them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information supports the operation and improvement of the website. It may be used for the following purposes:
- Maintaining reliable and efficient page delivery
- Routing a search request to the applicable outside service
- Understanding which content visitors use
- Diagnosing security, performance, and technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests
No Warrant Data on File
Cullman County Warrant Records does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of warrants or personal warrant-record data. Its content identifies official access routes, including the Cullman County Circuit Clerk, Cullman Municipal Court, other local courts, and the Cullman County Sheriff's Records channel. Alabama has no public statewide warrant search; Just One Look is a separate case-record service. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or dossiers about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes that appear on the website. Data submitted through those tools is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention, processing, and disclosure practices. Visitors should read the applicable provider policy before entering personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Cullman County Sheriff's Office, Alabama court resources, municipal portals, legal-aid resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy rules apply. Review those rules before providing identifying or payment information.
Some advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across different websites and tailor ads. That processing occurs on the provider's systems and is governed by its terms.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- A search partner processing a query submitted to its tool
- Analytics vendors measuring website traffic and function
- Advertising networks delivering advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under the website operator's control. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however. Although steps are taken to reduce risk, the operator cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made through the contact channel so the material can be reviewed and deleted when appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary based on a visitor's residence and applicable privacy or consumer-protection law. Alabama's Open Records Act, Ala. Code ยง36-12-40, concerns access to public writings held by public officers. It does not turn this private website into a public agency or create a right to records the website does not possess. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request a copy of personal data held about them
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of eligible personal data
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised as practices, services, or legal duties change. A revised policy will be posted here with its new effective date. Continued use after publication is subject to the updated version.
